You are my smile
You are my hugs
You are the reason I dance to no audible music
You are the joy that I have in the face of sadness

If I could see your face I am sure
You would look me dead in the eyes and
You would grab my face and
You would smile
Not a half smile that people give out of compassion
But you would smile showing all your teeth and then
You would kiss me on the top of my head
And tell me that you are fond of me
That you designed me to be capable and compatible

If I saw your face
You would tell me that my short hair cut reminds you of when I was younger
That young rose knew her father loved her
She would talk to Him in the tub and in class
She would talk to him on her bike and when her heart grew sad
She would see Him at night as he laid beside her in bed fighting off those monster underneath her bed.
You tell me that you miss that girl that blew you kisses knowing you would always catch them
If I were honest I would tell you I miss that girl too

If I saw your face
You would tell me that my body is beautiful
Perfectly shaped
10 fingers, 10 toes
Eyes that sparkle, a heart that grows

I feel my heart growing now because guess what I realized I see your face everyday in the beauty you portray
Sunshine and smile
A good sermon
All nighters with faithful companions
I love yous from parents
And in the famous last words of a Lamb
I see your face
